wow. Why couldn't the robots be pulling more of the work? If they were advanced enough to keep things managed, for medical stuff, for teaching why couldn't they up keep the dome? He was told in school that people did the upkeep, that humans made the parts but he's never really seen them get put to use. They just come one a conveyor belt, assembled and then in down the chute.

Some people, not many, but some people who decide to leave the dome. They either don't come back or if they do they're all screwed in the head. Like they're empty inside. They can like function, still do work but barely. Whoever that person was isn't there anymore.

That's what the monsters do to you if you go outside. You either get murdered or lose your mind.
