[ his brows lift and he looks impressed. the last time he saw lightning come from someone was, well... from him.

he smiles, a little excited. even if glitch happened to be a normal guy who simply wanted to learn how to throw a knife and had no other special abilities, he'd still find him interesting.

now, well... he's just doubly more so. ]

You can just summon it? Like that? It didn't even look like you broke a sweat.

[ There's a small shrug at Barry's question. Their enthusiasm is strange but he supposes he might never have met someone with these powers before? He's not sure. Either way- ]

I've always been able to do it. Well, I mean, I figured it out when I was younger.

But, nah. This town fucked them up so if I over use them I get a crippling migraine.

It really fucking, sucks.

That does suck.

[ and barry's a little glad he doesn't seem to suffer from migraines or anything similar whenever he uses his powers. (or maybe he does and he simply speeds right through them.) ]

I can generate lightning when I run, but only when I run. I've met a guy who could create lightning—he could manipulate the weather, which would've been cool if he wasn't trying to hurt people with it... [ he frowns at that. weather wizard really just needed a hug. ]

Can you do anything with lightning that comes from the sky? Harness it? Redirect it?

So, he was one of those villain guys that you kept having to deal with it I guess? [ Seriously, Barry. What is your life?

Regardless, he shrugs to the question. ]

Dunno about the sky, but pretty much all of that? I can generate it and it doesn't hurt me. Is that a big deal?

That's pretty cool.

[ and it is. even though barry would be wowed by someone floating feathers, generating lighting is a cool power. ]

I just figured if you could control lightning, maybe you can control someone else's. Using your powers to create it hurts, right? Maybe it doesn't hurt you if you harness someone else's.

Uh. No. I literally don't hurt when I make it myself and I'm pretty sure if someone shot me with lightning if they have it it's not gonna do much.

I'd be another electricity user's worst nightmare...well I think we both would since we couldn't hurt each other.

[ that probably answers his question about whether he's fought/trained with anyone with lightning-based powers. ]

When did you discover you had these powers?

When I was a kid. I mean, it's not really surprising. Everyone I grew up around had something.

What's with the fifty questions? You trying to find a way to take me down if I go rogue or something?

[ barry can't help but laugh, taken a little aback by glitch's defensiveness. it fits him, though. he's a little bit like a crack of lightning himself. ]

Hey, if you don't want someone who's interested in you to ask you questions, I'll just leave it at "how are you?" That might get boring real fast.

Guess you have a point, still. My experience is people want to know what you can do so they can counter you. You know, in case you do try and kill 'em.

[ Still, Glitch just dismisses it with a vague wave. ]

Not that I expect you to try.

[ he chuckles, lifting his hand to scratch the back of his neck. barry doesn't think he's nice at all, even though he'd like to think he could be. ]

I like learning about people. Besides, you won't need to counteract them for any reason if you treat them like a person.

[ seems kind of simple to him, even though his arch-nemesis was born from a hatred of barry's kindness. ]

Does that normally work for you?

[ Because in his experience people tend to take advantage of people being kind. ]

Most of the time.

[ the people he dealt with were often lost and were overcome with loneliness. he's had more success trying to relate to the meta of the week by trying to find their humanity.

he sighs, suspecting glitch will pick at the people who don't fall under that category. ]

Sometimes it doesn't. But it's always worth a try.

[ It's a good thing Barry decided to counter him before Glitch responded because he definitely would've fallen to the negative. He pauses for a moment before he sighs. ]

Fine. Maybe you have a point.

But, it doesn't mean I want to go looking for this guy's personhood right now. Considering he did fucking murder my friend.
