But, when he hears the message he's not unsurprised of the contents of it. It is still the same day after all. He does respond though; ]
Don't think I can give an answer that even measures on the bar of 'okay.' [ It's a little depressing sounding. He's quiet before he adds; ]
I don't think we'll be having guitar lessons anymore.

[ Not anything approaching quickly, anyway. Orpheus touches a hand to the scar wrapping around his own shoulder before continuing. ]
No, I think that would be kind of difficult. But, if you want, I could try teaching you to play piano? There are some really great pieces that are written for, um. One hand.
[ He sighs, not sure how reassuring any of that was. ]
What I mean is, um. I'm here if you want to talk about it? I know we're not the closest friends, but I thought I should at least offer.

He sighs though. ]
Sure. I dunno if I'd be up to learning right now but...yeah I could try it.
Be something to do other than focus on what happened.

[ The only piano he really knows of in town that's accessible to most people is the one in Pixie's, and Glitch might be a little young to be in there. With everything falling apart, though, Orpheus feels like he could probably pull a few strings. ]
Is there anything you need help with now, though? Even if it's just getting supplies or listening to you talk for a bit, I don't mind.

He pauses for a moment as he sits there with his device and well...even if he can't play- ]
Think you could play your guitar for me? I'd like that.
no subject
Oh, sure! [ he says, and his voice goes a little more distant thanks to him setting the Fluid on the table as he picks up his guitar, though he's still perfectly audible thankfully. ] Is there anything in particular you want to hear, or a mood you'd like me to try for?
no subject
But, he's not sure what he wants to hear, so instead he just says; ]
You have any original pieces? I'd listen to that. [ Orpheus did seem like the guy who played the guitar for more than just a hobby. ]
no subject
Right, he thinks he's got it. He adjusts his grip on the guitar and starts to play something livelier, almost percussive in quality. ]
Sailing to the southern reach
The peerless Argonauts are we
Questing to find the golden fleece
Where the river meets the sea
Oh, Jason is a noble man
With hair as dark as night
Wise Chiron raised him, so they say
And taught him how to fight
He stands aboard the Argo's deck
And always steers her right
And Heracles, that son of Zeus
Was strong as fifty men
The Fates would try to knock him down
But he'd get back up again
Clad in a coat made from the pelt
Of the Nemean Lion
There's Atalanta, fleet of foot
Proud and brave and strong
Try to keep up with her
But she's already gone
Faster than any man or beast
Who dared to take her on
Sailing to the southern reach
The peerless Argonauts are we
Questing to find the golden fleece
Where the river meets the sea

However, when Orpheus finishes he sighs a little. ]
You're really good. I don't even think about it when we were doing our lessons but yeah.
Really good...

There's a lot more verses - there were a lot of people on the Argo, and I tried to include everyone? And there was a lot of time to write them, during the trip. But I think you get the idea.
Did you ever travel much, before coming to Deerington?
